VE Day 75
Join us to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of VE Day with a mood-boosting dance and sing-along.
Dance Steps is working with Lymm Radio and local dance artist Jan Halloran to commemorate this important date in our history – even if we are in lockdown.
We’re all based in Lymm and we would love to bring our village together by celebrating with a community dance and singing session.
What is happening?
At 4:00pm on Friday 8th May Lymm Radio will play Vera Lynn’s Classic We’ll meet again. And we’d love you to join us for a dance, sing-along, or both in your own home!
You can be indoors, outdoors, wherever you choose to be!
Who can get involved?
Everyone! From babies right through to centenarians!
You don’t need any dance experience, just a body that can move – even if it is just a little bit.
We’ve put together a few different videos to give you some ideas of dance moves you could use.
There are ideas for joining in sitting, standing, on your own, with a partner, with your family or with whoever you are sharing the lockdown with.
We’d love schools and care homes to get involved too.
If you’d like to find out more about getting involved, please contact Jan at janhalloran@outlook.com
